TechLife Pad Neo and TechLife Smart Band review: An inexpensive duo with rich features

I’ve had the exciting opportunity to get my hands on two of TechLife’s latest offerings: the TechLife Pad Neo and the TechLife Smart Band.

Both devices are very new from TechLife and it is a privilege for me to be able to review this devices which were made by realme’s very own sub-brand.

Before I go on, please note that due to time constraint, I will not do my typical review, but review both devices at once here, focusing on both the TechLife Pad Neo and the TechLife Smart Band individually.

TechLife Pad Neo: Your Go-Anywhere Entertainment Hub

First up, let’s talk about the TechLife Pad Neo.

This tablet is designed to be your ultimate companion, whether you’re working, studying, or just chilling out.

The first thing I personally appreciate is its seamless LTE connectivity which is available despite its price range.

This means I can stay connected pretty much anywhere, even if there’s no Wi-Fi around. This is a huge plus for anyone who’s always on the move like myself, as it literally allows me to go online from any place which has cellular connectivity.

The 10.1-inch High Definition Display is also worth a shout out. While you can’t compare it to AMOLED screens, this display is good enough for binge-watching movies, browsing the web, catching up on your reading, or having crystal-clear video calls.

Generally, the colors are vibrant, and the picture is sharp, and hence making visual experience a pleasure.

Storage-wise, the Pad Neo comes with 16GB RAM and 256GB storage space, which is more than enough space for all apps, a library of movies, tons of photos, and all important documents.

The storage space is also expandable with up to 1TB in case I need more storage.

Battery life is always a big concern with portable devices, and the Pad Neo definitely delivers with its 6000mAh Massive Battery.

On my typical use, which involves video watching and also website browsing, used up about just 50% on a single day use. This was way better than my Apple iPad Air 4.

Interestingly, despite being a rather basic tablet, the TechLife Pad Neo does come with dual stereo speakers which offers immersive audio.

The audio is pleasant and loud for, but the location of the speakers at the rear end of the tablet (in landscape) would mean that the sound would only come from one side of the tablet when I am viewing the tablet in portrait mode. The 3.5mm audio jack is a plus point for those who still have wired earphones.

In addition to the features above, the Pad Neo is powered by a Mediatek Helio G80 processor, and 13MP rear camera, and a 5MP selfie camera.

In terms of design, it has a large bezel, and the plastic body reflects its pricing of RM599. The Pad Neo comes with a nice case, a USB-C cable, and a charging block.

TechLife Smart Band: Your Personal Health & Fitness Coach

Now, let’s switch gears and talk about the TechLife Smart Band. This sleek little device is packed with features to help you stay on top of your health and fitness goals.

Under the hood, it’s powered by an AC7014F6 Chipset with BLE5.3. This means ultra-low power Bluetooth connectivity, which translates to super stable performance and efficient use of battery.

Speaking of battery, its 190mAh battery offers long battery life and it doesn’t seem to drain fast during my usage despite having heart rate, SpO2, and bluetooth switched on continouously.

The 1.47-inch IPS TFT Full-Touch Display is bright and clear, making it easy to read your health and fitness information at a glance, and I personally liked how the dial hand options to display as many data as possible.

In addition, the TechLife Smart Band also has an Anti-Fingerprint Coating, which is a small but mighty detail that keeps your screen looking clean and smudge-free throughout the day.

For the active folks, the IP68 Water Resistance means the band can be used through situations with water without worry.

I really love the 24H Heart Rate & SpO2 Monitoring because it allows me to stay on top of the two most critical health data all the time.

The TechLife Smart Band also has multiple exercise modes which include running, cycling, walking, and many more.

To top it all off, the Android/iOS Message Push Support means I not only can use this band with both Apple and Android devices, but it also allows me to keep myself up to date when working out or on the go.

I didn’t particularly like the strap of the smart band because it was the buckle type, but I can always change the strap with third-party ones which are available in abundance.

Overall, I think the TechLife Smart Band is something you should consider if you are looking for a smart band that is able to record SpO2 and heart rate 24 hours without fail, and do what other smart bands can do without much problems.
