REDMAGIC has officially launched its latest powerhouse, the REDMAGIC 10 Air, in Malaysia.
The REDMAGIC 10 Air packs formidable internal hardware, boasting a remarkably slim 7.85mm profile and a weight of just 205g.
The 2.5D straight-edge design, coupled with a subtle curve and an aluminum middle frame, comes with a matte metal body which is enhanced with anti-glare (AG) glass etching.
There are also subtle RGB lighting elements and responsive shoulder triggers on the device.
At the heart of the REDMAGIC 10 Air lies the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, which is integrated with Qualcomm® Hexagon™ NPU to provide significant boost in AI processing and power efficiency.
Complementing this flagship performance is REDMAGIC’s proprietary RedCore R3 co-processor, which offloads auxiliary gaming tasks like haptic feedback, audio processing, and RGB control.
The REDMAGIC 10 Air also has a 6.8-inch AMOLED full-screen display that comes with 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1,600 nits .
This screen offers a 93.7% screen-to-body ratioand boasts a 2000Hz instantaneous touch sampling rate and a 960Hz continuous tracking rate, something likely much enjoyed by gamers.
The REDMAGIC 10 Air incorporates a sophisticated 9-layer ICE Cooling System which utilizes liquid metal, a material typically found in gaming laptops, to efficiently dissipate heat from the vapor chamber to the internal fan.
REDMAGIC claims this approach offers significantly superior thermal efficiency compared to traditional solutions, all within the phone’s slim form factor.
Powering extended gaming sessions is a substantial 6,000mAh battery.
This battery offers 28 hours of usage on a single charge with an 80W fast charging provided for quick energy top-up.
Additional features include a customizable Magic Key for quick access to frequently used functions, Google Gemini AI integration and a dual 50MP camera system that comes with OIS on the main sensor and a distortion-corrected ultra-wide lens.
REDMAGIC also claims it elevates user experience with its gaming-centric features by having exclusive Game Space that provides a centralized hub for managing games and accessing powerful in-game tools.
This hub has features like Somatosensory Control, Screen Extraction, and Auxiliary Line to offer unique gameplay enhancements.
The OS also supports handheld controller mode and Host Mode for PC-like gaming precision.
There’s also additional features like Frame Interpolation for smoother video playback and Z-Smart Cast (soon to be Smart Cast) for low-latency screen casting.
And of course, the phone also comes with responsive shoulder triggers with a 520Hz touch response rate and customizable RGB lighting, dual flagship-grade speakers with DTS:X Ultra certification, dual-band 5G Wi-Fi, dual SIM support, NFC with Google Pay, and the aforementioned high touch sampling rates enhanced by REDMAGIC’s Magic Touch technology.
The REDMAGIC 10 Air comes in two variants namely the 12+256GB, and 16+512GB.
The former is priced at RM3,199 while the latter is priced at RM4,099.
Both variants come in either Twilight or Hailstone colour options. Those pre-ordering from May 5 to 31th stand to save up to RM800 on thier new device.
