POCO has introduced both the POCO F8 Ultra and POCO F8 Pro under the POCO F8 Series.
The phone comes alongside the introduction of two new tablets, the POCO Pad X1 and POCO Pad M1. Details of all four devices are stated below.
POCO F8 Series specifications
The POCO F8 Ultra is the top-tier flagship, utilizing a dual-chipset architecture that pairs the Snapdragon® 8 Elite Gen 5 with the VisionBoost D8 chipset. Its display is a 6.9-inch POCO HyperRGB panel, delivering 2K-like clarity with a reduction in power consumption thanks to the M10 luminescent material.
A key feature is the premium acoustic experience, achieved through a partnership with Bose, resulting in a 2.1-channel triple-speaker system leveraging Sound by Bose Technology.
For photography, it features a triple 50MP setup, including a main sensor with OIS and a 50MP 5x periscope telephoto lens capable of up to 20X Ultra Zoom.
It houses a large 6500mAh (typ) battery, supporting both 100W HyperCharge (charging to 100% in 38 minutes) and 50W wireless HyperCharge.
The device is protected by POCO Shield Glass and IP68 dust and water resistance.
The POCO F8 Pro on the other hand maintains flagship power with the Snapdragon® 8 Elite Mobile Platform.
It shares core features like the POCO HyperRGB display, Sound by Bose Technology, and IP68 rating.
The battery is a substantial 6210mAh (typ) cell, also featuring 100W HyperCharge (reaching 100% in 37 minutes).
Its camera system includes a 50MP main sensor with OIS and a dedicated 50MP telephoto camera that provides 2.5x optical zoom and 5x lossless zoom. Both POCO F8 phones run on Xiaomi HyperOS 3.
POCO Pad X1 and POCO Pad M1
The POCO Pad X1 is powered by the Snapdragon® 7+ Gen 3 with 8GB RAM and 512GB storage. It offers an 11.2-inch 3.2K display with up to a 144Hz refresh rate, fueled by an 8850mAh (typ) battery and 45W turbo charging.
Meanwhile, the POCO Pad M1 features a larger 12.1-inch 2.5K display with up to a 120Hz refresh rate and a massive 12,000mAh (typ) battery, running on the Snapdragon® 7s Gen 4 Mobile Platform.
Both tablets utilize a quad-speaker system enhanced with Dolby Atmos®.
Price and availability in Malaysia
Those buying the POCO F8 Series stand to not only enjoy RM400 rebates when they buy during the early bird discount pricing, but also get a free REDMI Pad SE 8.7 (6GB+128GB) worth RM499 if they do so before December 18th.
To elaborate, the POCO F8 Ultra comes in Denim Blue and Black, and retails at RM3,199 for the 12GB+256GB variant, and RM3,599 for the 16GB+512GB variant.
The POCO F8 Pro on the other hand comes in Titanium Silver, Blue, and Black and is priced at RM2,499 for the 12GB+256GB variant and RM2,699 for the 12GB+512GB variant. Both these variants enjoy RM300 price reduction during the Early Bird Discounted Price from now until December 18th as well.
