OPPO today announced a three-year partnership with Hasselblad, the legendary camera manufacturer.
The partnership will see both companies co-develop industry-leading camera technologies for OPPO’s flagship Find series in which the two brands will focus on breakthroughs in colour science to create an improved mobile photography experience on Hasselblad Camera for Mobile.
This is not Hasselblad’s first entry into the mobile industry with the brand already working with OnePlus, a sub-brand of OPPO in integrating camera lenses to its smartphones.
With OPPO and Hasselblad working together to further develop advanced imaging solutions through R&D collaboration, users can expect more natural colours and more refined imaging experience when using the newer versions of the OPPO Find series.
This will be done through Leveraging Natural Colour Calibration with Hasselblad in which OPPO also targets to bring the most natural skin tone possible to its portrait photography.
The company said that the collaboration will start with software improvements for natural colour tuning.
It then targets to further enhance the colour calibration solution to delivers consistent natural colour performance for OPPO mobile phones to cover all scenarios and across the entire camera system.
The company further says that first “OPPO | Hasselblad Camera for Mobile” will be introduced in the next generation of OPPO’s flagship Find X series in the first quarter of 2022.
