Nothing has officially pulled back the curtain on its latest smartphone lineup, the Phone (4a) and Phone (4a) Pro.
Announced in Kuala Lumpur, these new devices aim to redefine the mid-range market by blending Nothing’s iconic transparent design with flagship-level power and photography.
A Bold New Look
The Phone (4a) series stays true to Nothing’s signature transparent aesthetic but adds more “human warmth” with new color options.
- Phone (4a) Pro: Features a slim 7.95 mm metal unibody design. It comes in Silver, Black, and Metallic Pink.
- Phone (4a): Highlights a central camera and a brand-new Glyph Bar. Color options include Black, White, Blue, and Pink.
Both phones offer improved durability with IP64 or IP65 water and dust resistance, along with custom submersion protection.
Flagship Cameras and Displays
Photography is a major focus this year. The Phone (4a) Pro boasts a Sony LYT700c main sensor and a 50MP periscope telephoto lens capable of 140x zoom—the longest ever on a Nothing phone.
The standard Phone (4a) isn’t far behind, featuring its own 50MP periscope lens with up to 70x zoom.
The screens are equally impressive:
- Pro Model: A 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and a massive 5000 nits peak brightness.
- Standard Model: A 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and 4500 nits peak brightness.
Performance and Software
Under the hood, the Pro model runs on the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, offering significantly faster CPU and graphics performance. The standard model uses the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, which focuses on power efficiency and AI.
The series debuts Nothing OS 4.1 (based on Android 16), which introduces smarter AI tools like “Essential Search” and “AI Photo Eraser”. Nothing also promises longevity with 3 years of Android updates and 6 years of security patches.
Availability
For tech fans in Malaysia, pricing and specific release dates will be officially announced on April 1, 2026.
