Nothing OS 3.0 launched

Nothing has announced the rollout of Nothing OS 3.0 (NOS 3.0) which is their flagship operating system powered by Android 15.

The company’s new OS introduces new features and enhancements that elevate the user experience while paving the way for more customisable and shareable interactions.

These features including improved Quick Settings, enhanced pop-up view, visual and performance enhancements and an updated typography.

A video showed by the brand showed a redesigned and fully customizable lock screen, an AI powered auto-sort apps drawer and more fonts and designs which will make the OS more personal.

In addition, Nothing also launched a new native Nothing Gallery app packed with innovative features which include an advanced search function and expanded editing tools like filters, markup and suggestions.

This update offers users new ways to stay connected, allowing interaction with friends and family via Shared Widgets displayed on the newly designed, fully customisable lock screen.

Enhanced Productivity Widgets like the new Countdown Widget allow users to stay on track, while the AI-powered Smart Drawer enables users to automatically categorize their apps into folders, for more efficient organisation and access.

It is however important to note that the Shared Widgets is currently limited to usage between Nothing devices only with the Countdown Widget expected to be available on Google Play via the Nothing Widgets app later this month.

The new Nothing OS 3.0 will roll out to Phone (2) and Phone (2a) first with the Nothing Phone (1), Phone (2a) Plus, and CMF Phone 1 getting it in early 2025.
