Digi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd (Digi) today introduced its all new Digi Prepaid NEXT.
Digi claims that the prepaid is “the only prepaid starter pack in the market pre-loaded with a 30-day high-speed internet plan starting from RM15.”
This technically means that the telco is offering its high-speed internet access at just RM15 for 30 days and customers can retain such privilege for as long they keep the line active for as little as RM15 monthly.
It is noted that usually prepaid lines offer two separate kind of renewals, in which customers need to reload airtime to manage line validities, and internet add-ons have validities separate from line validities.
With the new Digi Prepaid NEXT, this hassle is combined into one with only one renewal monthly.
There’s six Digi Prepaid NEXT starter packages to choose from. The smallest, named Internet Cili Padi RM15 offers 3GB internet with Unlimited Social (Facebook, Instagram & Twitter).
It is worth noting that the out of the 3GB internet provided, 1GB is marked as ‘Internet promo’. The FAQ does not detail this, so I can’t justify what they mean by ‘Internet promo’.
Regardless, if your internet quota is exhausted before the 30 days validity period, you can top-up your data to enjoy continuous high-speed surfing from as low as RM1.

Once the 30 days is over, customers can re-subscribe to their preferred internet plans from as low as RM15.
The Digi FAQ notes that customers need to renew their packages manually and it is not deducted automatically.
