HONOR achieved a major milestone by having its HONOR X9 Series officially recognized as the Top-Selling Mid-Range Smartphone Series by ASEAN Records.
This prestigious recognition highlights the exceptional sales performance of the HONOR X9a, X9b, and X9c models within the Malaysian mid-range smartphone market.
The award was presented to HONOR Malaysia’s Head of Channel Sales, Tan Pei Ling, by the Managing Directors of ASEAN Records, Gillian Ooi and Eldrick Koh.
Since launching in Malaysia in 2022, the X9 Series has become dominant, with its market share soaring from 33% in 2023 to 56% in 2025, meaning that today, one in every two mid-range smartphones sold in Malaysia is from the X9 Series.
The company says this success is attributed to the series’ engineering for durability, toughness, and high performance.
The company’s momentum continues with the newly launched HONOR X9d 5G, which sold out during its pre-order phase, exceeding the pre-order sales of its predecessor, the X9c.
That said, this accolade cements HONOR’s growing presence and impact in the region and serves as a testament to its commitment to product excellence and continuous innovation.
