HONOR and YES contribute to Hospis Malaysia

Yes (by YTL Communications) and HONOR Malaysia recently announced a joint Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) contribution valued at RM40,000 to strengthen the digital capabilities of Hospis Malaysia, a leading provider of community-based palliative care.

As part of this initiative, Yes is providing free, uncapped 5G connectivity, while HONOR has contributed 20 units of the HONOR Pad 10 5G tablet.

This contribution is designed to empower Hospis Malaysia’s clinical teams—including doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and therapists—by providing them with real-time digital tools for home visits and remote consultations.

With reliable 5G access and modern tablets, clinicians can instantly retrieve patient records, document clinical updates at the point of care, and coordinate with colleagues remotely.

These advancements help reduce delays caused by inconsistent network coverage and minimize unnecessary travel, leading to more timely and compassionate care for patients living with life-limiting illnesses.

The HONOR Pad 10 5G tablets feature AI writing tools, long battery life, and eye-comfort displays, making them highly suitable for healthcare professionals on the move.

Furthermore, the devices are scheduled to receive a firmware update in Q1 2026 to support Yes’s recently launched 5G Advanced (pre-6G) technology, ensuring long-term digital readiness.

Leadership from all three organizations emphasized that this partnership reflects a commitment to supporting frontline workers and advancing Malaysia’s digital health aspirations through impactful technology.

Dr. Ednin Hamzah, CEO of Hospis Malaysia, expressed gratitude for the support, noting that the tablets will significantly enhance their ability to respond to patient needs with dignity and efficiency.
