Digital mobile service provider, Yoodo, today announced that it will experience discontinuation from 29 August 2024.
The company’s discontinuation was the direct result of the agreement made by both Celcom and Digi, with the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), when the former two decided to merge as CelcomDigi.
MCMC, the regulator of telecommunication services in Malaysia, had stipulated that Celcom Axiata is required to dissolve Yoodo within 18 months of the merger.
Despite Yoodo discontinuation, the company assures that customers will continue to enjoy their existing service (data, voice and SMS) without any interruptions. It was also made known that Yoodo subsribers will be log on onto CelcomDigi’s network, with the telco previously using only Celcom’s coverage.
Yoodo had also said that payment for my subscriptions will remain as is until further notice and there is no action required from their customers.
More details on the discontinuation is expected a month from now.
