After the release of the Xiaomi Mi6, the Mi Note 3 and the Mi Mix 2, it looks like Xiaomi is set to release more smartphones, this time under their Redmi Note series, which is their more affordable series.
According to TechRadar, the new Redmi Note would be the Redmi Note 5 with specifications revealing that there’s two variants for the up-coming device, a 3GB and 4GB memory variants, with 32GB and 64GB of storage respectively
One of the most interesting highlights of the ‘yet to be official’ Redmi Note 5 is the processor, which is expected to come in the form of the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor, a first for the budget section of smartphones.
Aside from that, of course Xiaomi would also be eager to stay with the trend of dual camera setup, and hence its availability of a 16MP primary sensor and a 5MP secondary sensor at the rear camera, and a rumored 12MP front facing camera.
Other specifications leaked include the screen size which comes at 5.5-inch full HD display, a 4,000mAh battery, dual SIM with 4G VoLTE, and a fingerprint scanner.
As a fan of Xiaomi phones, I will be watching the release of this phone closely, so stay tuned. – phonesentral.com
