Canalys, a global market research firm, has announced that Xiaomi has once again secured the top position among smartphone vendors in Malaysia for the first quarter of 2025.
Accoriding to Canalys, the feat is done by achieving a 18% unit share in sell-in shipments.
This effectively puts Xiaomi ahead of popular brands like Samsung, vivo, HONOR and OPPO in Malaysia in terms of sell-in shipments.
Notably, the company also recorded a 11% annual growth, further highlighting its steady growth in the market.
According to a press release, Xiaomi Malaysia owes their groth to its successful dual-brand strategy, which centres on its two key smartphone lines – Xiaomi and Redmi.
The newly launched Xiaomi 15 series (I reviewed the Xiaomi 15 Ultra here) delivers flagship performance and next-generation innovation for premium users, while the Redmi Note 14 (I reviewed the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ here) series remains a go-to choice for consumers seeking reliable, high-performance devices at accessible prices.
Together, these product lines underscore Xiaomi’s mission to serve the diverse needs of Malaysian consumers—from tech enthusiasts to everyday users.
You can also grab Xiaomi devices, which include smartphones at bargains through their Xiaomi Malaysia official store.
