vivo has officially launched its vivo X70 series smartphones in Malaysia with the series offering two variants, the X70 and X70 Pro.
This series is significant because the it features vivo’s global imaging partnership with ZEISS hence bringing mobile photography experience to a higher level.
If you didn’t know, ZEISS is a major player in optical systems and optoelectronics, with the German based company well established when it comes to lens making.

That said, it’s obvious that the X70 series has been created to play on its photography strength.
The camera system of the X70 series is co-engineered with ZEISS hence allowing users to have photos that mimic the look and feel of photos taken using classic ZEISS lenses.
There’s a 32MP front cameras on both variants of the X70 series, with the Pro variant getting a quad core rear camera set-up which combines 50MP + 12MP+ 12MP + 8MP lenses, while the standard variant gets a tri-rear camera set-up with a combination of 40MP + 12MP + 12MP lenses.
In terms of megapixels, the Pro variant has higher pixels for the main rear camera with it also having an 8MP periscope telephoto lens.
Between the two models, the Pro variant obviously has the upper hand with OIS and laser autofocus made available for its main lens.
Also included in the X70 series is Ultra-Sensing Gimbal Camera coupled with Gimbal Stabilisation 3.0 technology which means better image stabilisation when taking videos.
Other highlights of the smartphone include the use of MediaTek Dimensity 1200-vivo chip processor, batteries that supports 44W FlashCharge technology and a 6.56-inch displays that can peak at 120Hz refresh rates.
Again, the Pro variant has a better screen as it has a AMOLED screen.

Both smartphone variants of the X70 will be available in Cosmic Black or Aurora Dawn with the Cosmic Black particularly enticing to me.
vivo X70 series price and availability
vivo Malaysia announced that the X70 Pro and X70 will retail at RM3,299 and RM2,499 respectively.
There is no discount for pre-purchase of the smartphones, but vivo Malaysia is throwing in freebies to sweeten pre-order deals.
Pre-orders are available on various platforms until 1 October 2021 with exclusive free gifts worth up to RM799 for the X70 Pro, and RM599 for the X70 also available.
Aside from the exclusive freebies, those who pre-order will be entitled to a 1-Year Extended Warranty and 1-Year Screen Crack Protection.
On top of that, the X70 Pro pre-orders also come with a Bluetooth sound bar and VIU TV membership card worth RM400, while customers who pre-order an X70 will get a Bluetooth speaker, high speed car charger and VIU TV membership card worth RM200.
