Telecommunications operators CelcomDigi Berhad (CelcomDigi), Maxis Berhad (Maxis), TM (Unifi Mobile), U Mobile Sdn Bhd (U Mobile) and YTL Communications (Yes 5G) recently announced the Rahmah P-Hailing Package.
The special data packages are open to eligible p-riders effective 23 January 2024.
The Rahmah P-Hailing Package launch ceremony was officiated by the Minister of Communications, YB Fahmi Fadzil .
It was also attended by representatives from the telco companies, p-hailing companies as well as p-hailing riders and drivers.
The telcos are collaborating with 16 Malaysian p-hailing service providers to support the p-hailing communities with affordable data plans giving them seamless connectivity that is critical for their daily deliveries.
P-hailing, which has become an integral part of Malaysians life, is defined as food, drinks and parcels delivery using vehicles such as motorcycles and cars.
With today’s launch, registered p-riders will have the option to choose from any of the service providers that offer the best coverage and plans that are best suited to their connectivity needs.
Under the Pakej P-Hailing Rahmah initiative, the plans have been put together by the respective telcos to offer the p-riders the best value packages that are currently available in the market.
Depending on the respective telcos’ offerings, these postpaid and prepaid plans which come as a device bundle or SIM only plan are made available to the p-riders from as low as RM33 with large data quotas that start from 40GB.
The telco operators are committed to working closely with the government to ensure that all Malaysians have easy and affordable access to the internet.
