Sarawak government targets 100 per cent online services

The Sarawak government has set its eyes on hitting 100 per cent government’s online services delivery by 2030.

According to a news report by Borneo Post, the matter was stated by Deputy Minister for Utility and Telecommunication Sarawak Datuk Liwan Lagang.

Liwan was quoted as saying that the current coverage for online services stands at 35 per cent.

Liwan was also quoated by the daily as saying that the Sarawak government had launched the Sarawak Digital Economy Blueprint 2030 which had outlined five strategic pillars to achieve a leading digital society.

These five pillars inlude economic growth priorities, digital business development, public sector and services, frontier technologies adoption, and a foundation for digital economy.

Sarawak is seen as a forefront in digital service in recent years with the government pushing electronic related services which include the introduction of Sarawak Pay (now known as SPAY Global), Sarawak ID and more.
