realme Buds T310 review: Best ANC below RM200

The realme Buds T310 is an exciting piece of earbuds because it is priced below RM200, but comes with one of the best Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) feature for an earbud under such price.

The buds I obtained was in monet purple, a colour girls would likely love due to its light nature.

Design & comfort

Size: Earbud: 30.7 x 20.2 x 23.6 mm, Charging case: 62 x 46 x 23 mm, Earbuds + charging case: 41.23 g

realme decided to keep the realme Buds T310 case simple and shiny. The case in monet purple looks good and it feels smooth to the touch.

Both the case and earbuds are only 41.23g, which means they are both very light to carry around, but big enough to remind you that you have something in your pocket.

Aside from the colour, there isn’t much I can say about the case except that it resembles the Apple Airpods I own with a slight length to it.

The earbuds however do not look anything like the Apple Airpods I have as it boast some nice grooves and curves to it to make it very unique and stylish.

The realme Buds T310 does get a bit slippery when handled, but it does feel very comfortable in the ear.

If it is worn on the bed, sandwiched between my head and the pillow or bed, it feels right at home.

Control & connectivity

Specs: Bluetooth v5.4

Connecting the realme Buds T310 to any Android phone is immediate, easy and without much problem.

Once I opened the earbud case, my Android phone automatically detects the earbuds and pairs with it without much hassle.

If this doesn’t happen to your phone, or you are using an iOS, then you’d probably need to connect via their realme Link app or directly by finding the earbuds in the Bluetooth line-up.

Both are easy ways to connect the earbuds to the phone, but the realme Link app provides so much more options to control the buds function and audio. In fact, if you really want to get more from the realme Buds T310, you need to use the app.

These options include, but are not limited to activating Dynamic audio, changing the audio EQ (Equalizer), activating the volume enhancer, activating the Game mode and activating the camera control of the phone.

As you may realize, these options need to be activated with some readily switched on by default. This means the realme Link app allows the buds to be customized according to its user preference.

This includes my ability to change its ANC according through three levels to fit my current movement and surroundings with Max ANC best for when I want to be fully immersed in the audio I am listening to, or Moderate ANC for when I am walking by the street.

It is worth to note that the three levels are not changeable through the earbuds and can only be changed with the realme Link app.

The realme Buds T310 also comes with Dual Device Connection which allows me to answer a phone call, from a second device which happens to also be connected to the ear buds.

This feature is quite impressive since it allows me to stay connected to important calls despite using different devices. The feature however is not switched on by default and needs to be activated.

Another interesting feature of these earbuds is the Game Mode. The earbud’s Game Mode lowers the latency to indirectly improve gaming experience, resulting in less disconnection and smoother gaming.

Like the Dual Device Connection, the Game Mode is not automatically switched on and needs to be activated via the realme Link app.

Controlling the earbuds are also customizable via the realme link app. By default, a double tap would play, pause, hang up calls and answer calls, while a triple tap would result in the device skipping to the next song. A long 2 second press on one earbud will reject call or change ANC levels.

These are all changeable according to my liking with the realme link app.

While the intelligent touch controls, there is a slight delay when you press or tap the buds to activate each function although it is neglectable.

Despite all the positives, the realme Buds T310 doesn’t come with in-ear detection, which is quite a bummer as this means that the buds won’t pause if I happen to remove them from my ear, or automatically restart when I put them back into my ear.

Sound and call quality: Calling, music & movies

Thanks to the 46dB Hybrid Noise Cancellation, the quality of audio presented by the realme Buds T310 is very impressive with most sound largely blocked out when I am using the earbuds to listed to music or being on a call.

In fact, the ANC capabilities is immediately felt once I put in the earbuds for the first time with the surrounding sounds almost completely drowned out, having a light and day difference once I take of the buds from my ear.

In addition to that, the earbuds also have AI Deep Call Noise reduction which certainly improved call quality to make my voice so much clearer when I make calls.

So far, no one had complained about not being able to hear my voice when I make a call.

In terms of sound quality, I appreciate the fact that I can custom the earbuds EQ, but what’s more impressive is how I can adjust the intensity of the high, medium and low frequency to fit my liking.

realme says this is an industry’s first upgraded dynamic sound algorithm, and I really appreciate it because each song can be tweaked to sound quite different with this Dynamic Sound Effect function.

In addition to that, the sound produced is also enhanced with a 360o Spatial Audio effect, enabling me to get the most of what sounds like surround sound, with action movie watching hugely enjoyable because sound seems to be coming from multiple directions. – Watching a movie trailer has never been so good with earbuds!

Finally, the bass in these earbuds is perhaps one of the best I’ve heard for an earbuds that’s below RM200.

Not only does it pack a lot of punch, it’s also well controlled and precise, sounding like I have one of those expensive sound systems latched into my eardrums.

Battery life

Specs: 58mAh (each bud) / 480mAh (case) with fast charging

The battery life of the realme Buds T310 is awesome, able to deliver up to 40 hours of playback. That’s roughly two days continuous use. Since I’ve started using the earbuds, I’ve yet to charge the case although the earbuds gets its dose of power every time I keep them in the case.

realme says that the realme Buds T310 buds will last about 6 hours with ANC switched on, and it will provide 4.5 hours of call time, also with ANC switched on.

Personally, I don’t see myself using the buds continously for that length of time, but lets just say I do, recharging each earbud takes just 10 minutes to provide 5 hours of music listening.

Other additional features

The realme Buds T310 also comes with an IP55 water and dust resistance, which means it is perfect for use when exercising, or doing outdoor activities.

While the IP rating does not equate comfort when the buds is actually used in such situations most of the time, it is different for the realme Buds T310 which I felt was perfectly designed for sweaty and exercising.

Price and where to buy

The realme Buds T310 is just RM79 during a special promotional price offer on the realme Shopee Store. After this promotion, you can get it for RM189 at the same store.

It comes in Monet Purple, Vibrant Black and Agile White colour options.

realme Buds T310 review conclusion

I personally think if you don’t want to spend too much on a good, no great earbuds, the realme Buds T310 is the one you should get.

The bass is impressive, the ANC is one of the best, and the price is just right.

Pair that with the realme GT7 Pro which was just launched, and you have an amazing combination worth every cent.
