HONOR unveils Magic8 Pro. Company now looking for photographers to test the flagship phone

The HONOR Magic8 Pro, HONOR Malaysia’s Master-Grade Imaging Flagship, was officially unveiled at an exclusive media event on the 98th Floor of Merdeka 118, the world’s second tallest building.

This spectacular location provided the perfect backdrop to demonstrate the smartphone’s camera prowess, specifically its 200MP Ultra Night Telephoto Camera, which was used to capture breathtaking, sharp details of the Kuala Lumpur skyline and surrounding architecture.

The launch positioned the Magic8 Pro as a device dedicated to professional-level mobile photography.

The flagship smartphone is built around a powerful triple-camera system, including a 200MP Ultra Night Telephoto Camera, a 50MP Ultra Night Main Camera with f/1.6 aperture and OIS, and a 50MP Ultra-Wide Camera.

A key feature of the telephoto lens is its industry-leading CIPA 5.5-level OIS stabilization, which offers DSLR-equivalent performance to prevent blur and ensure crystal-clear shots even from a distance and in low-light environments.

Furthermore, HONOR announced a partnership, naming the Magic8 Pro as the Selected Photography Equipment for Visit Malaysia 2026, aiming to capture and celebrate the country’s diverse culture, landscapes, and hidden gems through user-generated, high-quality imagery.

To further promote this initiative, HONOR is launching a search for 50 talented photographers across Malaysia to put the Magic8 Pro to the ultimate test.

These selected participants will capture iconic landmarks and nature, creating a visual narrative that will be showcased globally across HONOR’s official social platforms for the Visit Malaysia 2026 campaign.

Interested photographers can register for this opportunity from November 11 to 18, 2025 at HONOR Malaysia’s website and official Facebook page.

The device also incorporates advanced AI editing capabilities, such as the new Magic Color filter feature.
