Xiaomi today announced their All-New Redmi Note 11 Series for the global market.
This means the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G, Redmi Note 11 Pro, Redmi Note 11S and Redmi Note 11 will now be available in most markets which already sell the brand.
Here’s the highlights or specifications of each variant.
Redmi Note 11 and Redmi Note 11S highlights
Both the Redmi Note 11 and Redmi Note 11S are the lower end variants of the Redmi Note 11 Series.
They share the same 6.43” FHD+ AMOLED display which has 90Hz refresh rate, 5,000mAh battery that supports 33W wired Pro fast charging, 189g body weight, and 159.87mm x 73.87mm x 8.09mm dimension.
In the camera section, they also share similar 8MP ultra-wide + 2MP macro camera + 2MP depth cameras on the rear.
What differentiates the duo however is the main camera, in which the Redmi Note 11S get the bigger 108MP main camera while the Redmi Note 11 only gets 50MP for its main camera. The difference is also similar on the selfie camera with the Note 11S enjoying a more superior 16MP camera as opposed to the 13MP attached to the Note 11.
The processor powering both smartphones are also different with the more powerful Note 11S getting MediaTek Helio G96, while the Note 11 settling for just a Snapdragon 680 processor.
Redmi Note 11 Pro and Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G
Things are slightly more obvious in difference between the Redmi Note 11 Pro and Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G.
From the rear, you will notice the former is a quad camera set-up while the Note 11 Pro 5G is a triple camera set-up instead.
I find this rather odd that the more expensive Note 11 Pro 5G doesn’t get the 2MP depth camera although it does come with a much more powerful Snapdragon 695 processor against the Note 11 Pro’s MediaTek Helio G96 processor.
Aside from that, the Pro 5G variant also comes with 5G connectivity, while the Note 11 Pro doesn’t.
The rest between both smartphones are the same with them both enjoying a 6.67” FHD+ AMOLED screen which has 120Hz of refresh rate.
Also shared between the two Note 11 Series variants are the size, weight, battery life and 57W wired turbo charging and their hybrid SIM tray.
Redmi Note 11 Series price and availability
Xiaomi says that the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G, Redmi Note 11 Pro and Redmi Note 11S come in three variants: 6GB+64GB, 6GB+128GB and 8GB+128GB while the Redmi Note 11 comes in three variants: 4GB+64GB, 4GB+128GB and 6GB+128GB.
The Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G and Redmi Note 11 Pro will be available starting February this year, while the Redmi Note 11S and Redmi Note 11 will be available starting January.
There is no mention when it will hit Malaysia.
