Nothing has just unveiled its groundbreaking Phone (3a) series, setting a new standard for mid-range smartphones.

Building upon the success of the Phone (2a), the Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Pro introduce an array of premium features, including a sophisticated triple-camera system with optical zoom, a powerful Snapdragon® processor, a stunningly bright display, and innovative Nothing OS functionalities like Essential Space.

Refined Design and Enhanced Durability

The brand says that the Phone (3a) series boasts a more refined aesthetic, featuring upgraded glass back panels, enhanced symmetry, and meticulous attention to detail.

Both models showcase Nothing’s signature exposed design, highlighting the advanced camera systems and cutting-edge engineering.

Notably, the series achieves an IP64 rating for improved durability and sets a new benchmark for environmental responsibility with Nothing’s lowest carbon footprint to date, at just 51.3kg of CO2e.

Unprecedented Camera Capabilities

Thebrand also says the Phone (3a) series introduces Nothing’s most advanced camera system yet, featuring an upgraded 50MP main sensor and a Sony ultra-wide sensor.

For the first time, optical zoom is included, powered by TrueLens Engine 3.0, which combines advanced computational algorithms, AI processing, and multi-frame technology.

The Phone (3a) features a 50MP telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom and up to 30x ultra zoom, while the Phone (3a) Pro boasts a periscope camera with 3x optical zoom and 60x ultra zoom, along with telemacro capabilities, surpassing many flagship devices.  

Performance and Battery Life

With Snapdragon® 7s Gen 3 Mobile Platform, the Phone (3a) series is said to deliver exceptional performance and efficiency.

With a CPU up to 33% faster than the Phone (2a) and an 11% improvement in GPU performance, these phones handle demanding tasks with ease.

The series also excels in AI processing, being 92% better than its predecessor.

Battery life is equally impressive, with both models featuring 5000mAh batteries that support 50W fast charging, providing a full day’s power in under 20 minutes.  

Immersive Display and Nothing OS

The Phone (3a) series features a 6.77-inch Full HD+ display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and a peak brightness of 3000 nits.

Nothing OS 3.1, is built on Android 15, and comes with enhanced features like Essential Space, an AI-powered hub for notes and ideas.

The series also promises six years of updates, including three years of Android updates and six years of security updates, ensuring long-term reliability and performance.  

Phone (3a) Series Availability and Pricing

The Nothing Phone (3a) series is set to launch with competitive pricing.

The Phone (3a) is available in Black, White, and Blue (excluding the US), while the Phone (3a) Pro comes in Grey and Black.

Pre-orders for the Phone (3a) begin on March 4th, and for the Phone (3a) Pro on March 11th, with open sales following later in March.
