After introducing the JBL PartyBox Lineup, JBL now brings their latest JBL Bar Series for the Malaysian market.
The new JBL Bar Series – featuring the Bar 1300MK2, 1000MK2, 800MK2, 500MK2, and 300MK2 – is designed to transform the home cinema experience by delivering detailed, rich, and immersive sound that is compatible with any TV.
The new line-up uses JBL’s expertise in cinema audio with the lineup said to provide true front-row movie theater experience.
A major highlight is the inclusion of advanced audio technologies across the range. The full series is equipped with HARMAN’s MultiBeam™ 3.0 and all models support Dolby Atmos®.
The higher-end bars, like the JBL Bar 1300MK2 and JBL Bar 1000MK2 also support DTS:X for a complete 3D surround experience, utilizing up-firing drivers in their design.
The JBL Bar 1300MK2 is however the only bar supporting JBL One Commander, which is a wireless Dolby Atmos audio solution that allows the JBL Bar 1300MK2 to connect wirelessly with most TVs and projectors.
Aside from the specifications above, the new JBL Bar Series also introduces several proprietary enhancements for audio fidelity.
SmartDetails, a new HARMAN technology, is engineered to reproduce subtle audio nuances, making details like soft footsteps or floorboard creaks clearer.
For dialogue, the bars feature PureVoice 2.0, which uses a unique algorithm to optimize voice clarity so listeners never miss a word, even during intense, action-packed scenes.
Leading the series is the flagship Bar 1300MK2, an 11.1.4-channel system. This model introduces AI Sound Boost in its compact dual 8-inch subwoofer, which intelligently manages the signal in real-time to deliver deeper, more powerful bass with reduced distortion.
Furthermore, the Bar 1300MK2, 1000MK2, and 800MK2 models feature detachable, battery-powered wireless surround speakers that can be positioned for true rear surround sound or used as independent Bluetooth speakers.
All soundbars in the new lineup are powered by the JBL One Platform, an ecosystem built for seamless streaming and personalization.
Through the JBL One App, users can stream hi-res and spatial audio content, access over 300 online music services, and customize the sound profile using a 7-band EQ. The bars also feature enhanced connectivity with built-in Wi-Fi and compatibility with AirPlay 2, Alexa Multi-Room Music, and Chromecast built-in™.
New JBL Bar Series Malaysia price and availability
Except for the JBL Bar 1300MK2 which will only be available next year, all the other bars are available immediately.
The JBL Bar 300MK2 is priced at RM2,499, while the JBL Bar 500MK2 comes at RM2,999.
Higher up the tier is the the 780W JBL Bar 800MK2, which is priced at RM4,499 while the JBL Bar 1000MK2 sells for RM5,999. The top of the range JBL Bar 1300MK2 retails at RM8,999.
