Huawei P50 Pro and Huawei P50 Pocket launched in Malaysia

HUAWEI Consumer Business Group (BG) today announced the new HUAWEI P50 Pro and the latest foldable smartphone, Huawei P50 Pocket in Malaysia.

Both smartphones are not new to the smartphone industry, being already launched in other markets previously.

Huawei P50 Pro Malaysia availability

The Huawei P50 Pro will be available at a retail price of RM4,199 with pre-orders beginning from 12 January 2022.

It will be available for purchase on 22 January 2022 onwards on

Alongside each pre-order and purchase is the Huawei WATCH GT 2 Pro – Nebula Grey Strap which is worth RM1,199, and complimentary gifts worth up to RM244 from Huawei Mobile Services.

The complimentary gifts from Huawei Mobile Services include a 1-time screen replacement within first 3-month of purchase (worth RM119), a 1-month Huawei Video plus VIP and two Huawei Video Movie Pass, a 3-months Huawei Music Premium, Huawei Books Book Credits, a 3-months Huawei Themes redemption voucher and 1-month Huawei Mobile 2TB Cloud storage.

On top of that, Huawei is also throwing additional gifts worth up to RM600, which include the following items:

  • EASI Voucher: 18% off up to RM10
  • ZUS Coffee (RM9.90)
  • Tealive (RM7)
  • Dadi Cinema: Popcorn & drinks voucher (worth RM13)
  • Flexi Parking: Get RM30 credit when download app + purchase insurance via app
  • TGV Cinema: Free upgrade to TGV Indulge cinema for normal ticket purchase (worth RM55)
  • SOCAR: 5 hours free rental SOCAR voucher for new user worth RM100; 30% off SOCAR voucher for old user;
  • TREVO: 50% off rental TREVO voucher for new user; 30% off for old user (worth RM300)

Huawei P50 Pocket Malaysia availability

Meanwhile, the foldable P50 Pocket will be available from 22 January 2022 for pre-orders at RM5,999.

The higher variant, the Huawei P50 Pocket Premium Edition will be available for pre-order at RM7,299 on the same day as well.

Like the P50 Pro, both variants of the foldable smartphone will be available through the sources below.

Every pre-order of Huawei P50 Pocket will also enjoy freebies worth up to RM2,700, which include the Huawei WATCH 3 – Black Fluoroelastomer Strap which is worth RM1,699.

Aside from the smartwatch, pre-order buyers also get complimentary gifts worth up to RM434 from Huawei Mobile Services, which include a 1-year extended warranty (worth RM309), a 1-month Huawei Video plus VIP and two Huawei Video Movie Pass, a 3-months Huawei Music Premium, a HUAWEI Books Book Credits, a 3-months Huawei Themes redemption voucher and 1-month Huawei Mobile 2TB Cloud storage.

Also given are similar additional gifts worth up to RM600 like what is offered for the Huawei P50 Pro smartphone.

Huawei Trade-in System 

Last but not least, Huawei Malaysia is also making an offer to those who are considering other options apart from purchasing the new P50 series directly.

This is done by offering a Trade-Up system, where consumers can:

  • Trade in any functioning electronic devices and get additional RM300 instant rebate for the purchase of HUAWEI P50 Pro ; or
  • Trade in any functioning electronic devices and get additional RM500 instant rebate for the purchase of HUAWEI P50 Pocket ; or
