Whenever a brand claims they are blurring the line between mid-range and flagship, there’s usually trade-offs which tell you that the phone is no where near being a ‘flagship device’.
This is probably not the case with the new HONOR 600 Pro which I had used for a couple of weeks now as my main phone.
This in-depth HONOR 600 Pro review will cover everything you need to know about what might just be the most underrated, complete smartphone of 2026, and why I think I just fell in-love with this phone despite its it not exactly considered a ‘flagship’ smartphone due to its RM3K-ish pricing.
Main highlights
HONOR is heavily positioning the 600 Series as an “Accessible Flagship,” promising to deliver premium performance upgrades and top-tier innovations without the astronomical price tag.
The main highlights they are promoting revolve around a massively upgraded camera system, featuring a 200MP main sensor and an ambitious 120x zoom capability.
Beyond photography, the brand is pushing boundaries with an ultra-bright display, an absolute behemoth of a 7,000mAh battery, and their revolutionary AI Image to Video 2.0 software.
Design, body and durability
The moment I pick up the HONOR 600 Pro, it feels incredibly premium. Yes, the orange colour variant which comes with a rectangle bump does immitate a certain popular phone, but that’s almost where the similarities stop.
It utilizes a classic glass sandwich construction with a flat, wide aluminum frame that feels superb in the hand.
The back panel features a beautifully textured matte finish that brilliantly repels fingerprint smudges, while a new dedicated AI button acts as a highly convenient physical shutter release for the camera.
But what really sets this phone apart is its ruggedness. The HONOR 600 Pro is built like an absolute tank, achieving the industry’s highest IP69K water and dust resistance rating.
This provides comprehensive protection against splashes, continuous immersion, and incredibly challenging environmental conditions.
For everyday peace of mind, it also holds an SGS 5-Stars Premium Performance Certification for drop and crush resistance, meaning the device will effortlessly withstand accidental drops and everyday impacts.
Despite that, I do still put on a case when I use this phone as a habit.
Screen & Display
The front of the device houses a screen that is genuinely mind-blowing. HONOR has equipped this phone with an ultra-bright display capable of reaching a peak brightness of 8,000 nits, which is a first for the N Series.
Taking it outdoors under the harsh midday Malaysian sun was no problem at all, as the Sunlight Mode maintains high screen visibility for long durations.
More importantly, it features the HONOR Eye Comfort Display technology to protect your vision.
Thanks to the incredible 3840 Hz PWM Dimming to reduce flicker in low light and Defocus Eyecare to relieve eye strain, I found myself reading articles and scrolling social media late at night with absolutely zero eye fatigue.
Audio system
For a phone at this tier, the audio experience is highly competent. It sports a robust stereo speaker setup that delivers distinct sound separation, making watching YouTube videos or streaming movies highly immersive.
The vocals are crisp, and there is a surprising amount of punchy bass for a slim smartphone.
While it predictably lacks a 3.5mm headphone jack, the wireless Bluetooth audio transmission is essentially lag-free and flawlessly supports high-resolution audio codecs.

Processor, RAM & Storage
Under the hood, this device is a certified powerhouse.
For the first time in the N Series, the HONOR 600 Pro is powered by the flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite Processor, built on a cutting-edge 3nm process.
This translates to a massive 45% increase in CPU performance and a 44% boost in GPU performance.
In real-world usage, this means flawless multitasking and lightning-fast app transitions.
I played EAFC for long periods of time on the phone’s auto settings with the processor maintaining peak performance without draining the battery excessively or suffering from noticeable thermal throttling.

Software
Running on MagicOS 10, the software experience is buttery smooth and stuffed full of genuinely useful AI shenanigans.
The interface is clean and highly intuitive. What truly makes the software shine, however, is the backend power management.
It features an AI Battery Scheduling Engine that intelligently identifies your high-frequency usage habits to optimize power allocation.
This aggressive background task management ensures that standby drain is practically non-existent, setting it apart from many competitors in the market.
Camera
The camera system is where the HONOR 600 Pro completely justifies its existence. It boasts a 200MP Super Sensing Main Camera with a massive 1/1.4-inch sensor that increases light sensitivity by 24%, delivering exceptionally pure and detailed low-light shots. This is the largest sensor for a phone in this class.
This is paired with a 50MP Telephoto Camera capable of an astounding 120x zoom—a first for the N Series.
Thanks to industry-leading CIPA 6.5 image stabilization on the telephoto and CIPA 6.0 on the main camera, handheld shooting is remarkably stable and blur-free, even in the dark. Some samples of photos I’ve taken can be seen below.
What also impressed me was how nice photos turned out even in really poor lighting, like the photo of a Bidayuh Baruk below where the pinacles of the Baruk are still very much visable despite it being 11PM at night.
The camera can also capture the moon in HD via its Super-Moon 2.0. However, the moon remained hidden during my test period, so you may need to check it out on the Facebook page in the future.
The standout feature, however, is the groundbreaking AI Image to Video 2.0.

You can now input up to three static images and use simple text descriptions to generate cinematic video content.
I spent hours playing with the built-in templates; using “The Embrace” to multiple photos of two people together. Below is a video on how the template works.
Combined with Magic Color filters and AI Enhanced Night Portrait mode, this is a spectacular photography tool.
Battery
If you suffer from battery anxiety, the HONOR 600 Pro is the cure.
HONOR has somehow managed to cram an ultra-large 7,000mAh Silicon Carbon Battery into this device. This translates to some of the best battery life of any phone I’ve tested in 2026.
Even with heavy gaming and camera usage, it easily lasts a full day, and casual users can stretch it to a whole weekend.
When you finally need to charge, the 80W wired and 50W wireless HONOR SuperCharge options top the phone up remarkably fast.
It even features 27W wired reverse charging that is compatible with the iPhone, making it a lifesaver for your friends. Best of all, HONOR promises this battery will maintain its durability for 5 years, supporting up to 1,600 charge cycles.
Conclusion and Where to buy
To conclude this HONOR 600 Pro Review, this is anything but a mid-range smartphone.
If I am bluntly honest, this phone feels pretty much like a flagship device, capable of doing bleeding-edge AI technology, owning a flagship-tier processor, having a battery that simply refuses to die, and a top notch camera system.
Personally, I feel that this phone would suit most people but particularly since it isn’t as pricey as flagships out there, but can offer similar experience.
The phone is priced from RM3,099 and it is officially available nationwide.
