Motorola today announced the Motorola Moto G Stylus 5G 2022, a 5G variant of the Moto G Stylus 2022 which was announced back in February this year.
Therefore, this new smartphone is the successor of the older Moto G Stylus 5G which was launched last June.
Besides announcing the Moto G Stylus 5G 2022, Motorola also announced the newer version of the Moto G 5G, which is the Moto G 5G 2022. You can read it’s highlights here.
Moto G Stylus 5G 2022 highlights
The Moto G Stylus 5G (2022) has a 6.8″ 120Hz FullHD+ LCD and is using the Snapdragon 695 processor.
It has 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, which is expandable up to 1TB via microSD card.
A 50MP primary camera (with OIS) combined with a 8MP ultrawide and 2MP depth camera completes the triple camera set-up on the rear, while a 16MP camera is fitted on the front screen for selfies.
A 5,000 mAh battery powers the smartphone and Motorola includes a built-in with a stylus which lets you quickly jot down notes, write captions, draw sketches, and edit photos on the phone.
The smartphone comes in Steel Blue and Seafoam Green.
Opinion on the Motorola Moto G Stylus 2022
I personally feel the Moto G Stylus 2022 seems a bit dated in terms of style and colour, so my first impression on the smartphone itself is not that positive.
However, considering its pricing and the brand, there may be more than just looks to the smartphone.
The availability of the stylus definitely will boost interest in this phone as it is good for those preferring to write on screen than type.
Price and availability
I personally do not see the Motorola Moto G Stylus 2022 entering the Malaysian market officially, but we can always hope it does.
The smartphone is available in the US from April 28, and will be sold for RM500 (RM2000).
