Astro is marking its 30th anniversary with a nationwide celebration offering customers free access to its full channel line-up, new pop-up channels, expanded NJOI content and exclusive event experiences from August to December 2026.
From 15 August to 16 September, all Astro customers will receive complimentary access to the platform’s full channel line-up. Two special pop-up channels will also be available — Astro 30 (CH 100) until 31 October and Aniplus (CH 120) until 31 December.
Astro 30 will feature blockbuster movies, concerts and popular programmes, including all eight Spider-Man films, Borneo Rising, BTS: Love Yourself in New York Concert Film and The Last Kopek Senario Reunion 30 Tahun.
Meanwhile, Aniplus will showcase a selection of popular Japanese anime series.
Astro is also giving customers free access to Astro X3 on compatible Smart TVs, allowing them to stream through the Astro app without requiring an additional box.
For NJOI users, four additional channels — Astro Prima, Astro Oasis, Astro AEC and Stadium Astro — will join the free tier from 13 August, bringing the total number of free-to-air channels to 26.
Beyond television, Astro will take its 30th anniversary celebrations nationwide through KITA FM 2026: Satu Nama, Satu Suara, featuring a bus tour, meet-and-greet sessions and interactive activities.
The initiative will culminate in Kuching on 16 September, alongside a planned 63KM nationwide run and the launch of the multilingual theme song “KITA”.
Astro will also host the Astro 30th Anniversary Showcase at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur on 23 August, featuring artists including Faizal Tahir, Sherry Al Hadad, Stacy Anam, ALPHA and Vanessa Reynauld.
The company said the anniversary celebration is a way to thank Malaysians for three decades of support while reaffirming its commitment to producing local content, nurturing Malaysian talent and creating shared entertainment experiences.
